Host Broadcast Training Initiative (HBTI)

Delivered by Actua and QTV

A Unique Training Opportunity

Glasgow 2026 is delighted to be working with QTV to deliver a Commonwealth Games Host Broadcaster Training Initiative (HBTI) that will create a training and upskilling programme funded by Actua through to the Games. These roles will be part of Actua Films host broadcast team to deliver an altogether brilliant Games with the Glasgow 2026 Organising Company.

QTV invites universities and colleges to nominate students and recent graduates for part of the HBTI Programme – an intensive, practical training route into careers in Outside Broadcast (OB) and live sports production.

This programme is designed to identify and develop entry-level technical and production talent, offering hands-on training and live Games-time experience.

On successful completion of the programme there will be the opportunity to shadow production at the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games in August 2026.
