Job description
Reporting to the COO, the Warehouse Manager at QTV is responsible for all warehouse operations. This will include ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the broadcast facilities, asset management, warehouse health and safety, managing suppliers and maintaining an excellent standard of storage hygiene and equipment. The Warehouse Manager will line-manage the Warehouse Assistant and support the growth of the department as QTV continues to grow. As QTV largely provides facilities for sporting events, the role will be required to work on a rota’d schedule, often out of hours and at weekends as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Warehouse management and preparation of camera and audio kit, cables and OB vehicles to support a busy depot running seven days a week with ten vehicles and multiple events.
- Contract and management of suppliers for hire/returns of equipment. Tracking logistics and administration of internal and external assets.
- Calculating and comparing costs for required goods and services and negotiating with suppliers to achieve maximum value.
- Support Fleet Manager in vehicle maintenance processes with an awareness of Operators Licence regulations.
- Budget and record keeping of third party suppliers, including management of costs and budget – including where dealing with repairs and warranties.
- Experience with administration of digital stock management systems (Current RMS or similar).
- Responsible for health and safety and PPE for warehouse operations.
- Management of the building/facilities services according to business objectives and requirements at QTV’s warehouse/depot.
Required/Desirable skills
- Experience in supervising facilities for live events, broadcast or audio/visual companies.
- Hold a ‘C1’ class driving licence with previous CPC training experience a benefit. QTV will sponsor this training for a suitable applicant.
- Strong understanding of health and safety matters within the operational aspects the business as they adhere to facilities (eg: PPE, C1 drivers licences, LOLER & working at heights, risk assessments)
- Willingness to work as a team in a hands-on capacity with large parts of the role on the warehouse floor.
- Proficiency in known software applications to do with organisation and data management (Google Sheets/Excel etc…).
- Excellent attention to detail and a drive to own a process from start to finish.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work autonomously and proactively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills as they will be working with all areas of the business and be a focal point of contact for all QTV staff.
- Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
- Work proactively to develop and improve the facilities on site within commercial limits as well as planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives.
